There is simply too much risk involved with allowing the average person to purchase bitcoin or any other altcoin with a credit card. Additionally, there are many scams in the cryptoasset and initial coin offering ICO space, and credit card companies do not need hundreds or thousands of customers calling them to reverse a credit card transaction after another Ponzi scheme or exit scam is discovered.
